High-Speed Pursuit Ends with Foot Chase in Portland

A Portland man is behind bars after sending police on a high-speed chase.

Authorities say Mohammed Alzamili reached speeds of 110 miles per hour during the chase Saturday evening, which began on I-295 in Yarmouth. The pursuit ended after a short foot chase in Portland, according to our info partners at CBS 13 News.

Alzamili faces charges of aggravated driving to endanger, eluding an officer, failure to submit to arrest and criminal speeding. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail.
