Deputies Say Intoxicated Man Arrested for Trespassing in Shapleigh

Nicholas Knuppel - York County Sheriff's Office

A 23-year-old man faces charges after being accused of trespassing into a home in Shapleigh overnight Sunday morning.

York County Deputies say a 45-year-old woman told them she woke up at 2:40 a.m. and found an unknown man in her home, who then went to her porch.

Deputies say they identified him as Nicholas Knuppel of Brunswick, who showed signs of intoxication and said he thought he was at a gathering in Sanford.

Knuppel was arrested and will make his first court appearance on Monday, November 3rd, at the York Judicial Center in Biddeford.

At the time, he had not made his bail of $200.00.
