Home sales continue to climb upward in Maine, as they’ve done throughout the pandemic.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Maine home sales jumped nearly 36% this April compared to April of 2020. The median sales price also went up by more than 17% in that time, to $276,000.

Maine has seen an influx of out-of-staters coming into the state amid the pandemic, with real estate experts attributing that to Maine’s relatively low COVID numbers and many businesses pivoting to remote work during the pandemic, allowing employees to move away from more expensive metropolitan areas.
