Dangerous conditions may have led to a crash that snarled traffic Monday morning north of Portland.

Interstate 295 Southbound was backed up from Freeport exit 24 to around mile 26 because of a van flipped over on its side.

The van was blocking the left lane, leading to the backup.

Fire rescue and police reportedly arrived on the scene at about 7:40 AM.

It’s not known if anyone was injured in the crash.
