A Maine inmate was hospitalized after a suicide attempt.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, staff at the Two Bridges Regional Jail say a male inmate attempted suicide Sunday night. Officials say he received emergency medical attention and was brought to Maine Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
