An investigation into the deaths of a man and woman in a Richmond apartment building revealed one of them died of an apparent suicide.

Maine State Police on Wednesday said they’re still investigating the deaths of 49-year-old Dana Shulman and 47-year-old Robin Bowler. Their bodies were found during a welfare check at an apartment unit on Main Street on Monday.

An autopsy revealed that Shulman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The circumstances surrounding the death of Robin Bowler are still being investigated. Investigators are awaiting the results of toxicology tests, which can take several weeks.

Police say they don’t believe anyone else is involved and there is no risk to the public.
