A bullet was found in a Brunswick elementary school, and school officials are trying to determine where it came from.

School leaders say an unfired round for a handgun was found by a student in a hallway at Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School.

School officials determined there wasn’t a threat to the school, which wasn’t placed on lockdown.

Police are investigating to determine how the bullet ended up in a school building.
