Jay man accused of setting fire to home where he was living


JAY, Maine (WGAN) Investigators with the Maine Fire Marshal’s Office have charged a Jay man with setting a fire that damaged a residence, a motorcycle and two other vehicles.

Shannon Moss with the Maine Department of Public Safety said 51-year-old Christopher White was arrested in Portland on Wednesday.

He’s charged in connection with the fire that happened on Saturday, September 18th on Oak Street at the home where he was living.

White posted bail after being brought to Cumberland County Jail. He’s scheduled to make his first court appearance in November.
