Maine State Police say a Jay man was arrested after setting his mother’s home on fire for a second time.

Police say 24-year-old Devin Penney was arrested by Fire Marshals on Tuesday. Penney had recently completed treatment at a health facility after setting fire to the home on Intervale Road in Jay on July 23rd, causing damage to the siding and outside of the home. He was charged with arson in August of 2017, when he set fire to the same house, causing minimal damage. His mother no longer lives at the home.

Penney was expected to be arraigned on August 20th in Farmington.
