MARS HILL, Maine (AP) — A 15-year-old driving an unregistered pickup truck led state police on a brief chase Wednesday before losing control and crashing into a field.

Two juveniles, neither of whom suffered injuries, were taken into custody Wednesday morning after the crash, troopers said.

A trooper gave chase after encountering the truck that was being operated erratically and had a snow plow that was dragging on the pavement. The truck had no license plates, troopers said.

The truck hit speeds of 80 mph before leaving the roadway, becoming airborne and crashing into the field, troopers said.

No one was injured, the teen driver and juvenile passenger were taken into custody.

The crash is still under investigation.
