THORNDIKE, Maine (WGAN)  A juvenile has been arrested in connection with several school threats.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office says a student received a threat on social media and brought it to the attention of the school administration and School Resource Officer.

Police say the complex was then put into lockdown, which was then changed to a lockout as they investigated.

Police say their investigation led to the arrest of a male juvenile who they say was responsible.  They also say they believe the threat is related to threats in the Skowhegan area.

The lockout was lifted after the juvenile’s arrest.

Police say today’s events were unrelated to what happened at the complex on Wednesday.
