Kennebunk firefighters say they were able to stabilize a vehicle that was in danger of rolling down a 15-foot drop into a river

Kennebunk Fire-Rescue says the driver had pulled over because of a medical problem, but misjudged where the vehicle would stop.

They say the vehicle came to rest in a position where it was ready to roll over and down a 15-foot drop.

Firefighters stabilized it using a winch, chains, and a redirected anchor point on a nearby tree, according to the department.

A heavy wrecker was then able to remove the vehicle without causing additional damage.
