Kennebunk town hall closes for the day after bomb threat

Police are investigating a bomb threat directed at the Kennebunk Town Hall complex.

Police say the assessor’s office and Kennebunk Fire Rescue, which is located in the complex, received the threat Wednesday morning as town hall was opening.

Town hall was evacuated and a search involving K-9s didn’t turn up any explosives.

The FBI is involved in investigating the threat, which potentially came from out of state.

Town hall was closed for the day.
