Kenyan Woman and New Zealand Man Win the Beach To Beacon

Runners who competed in the Beach to Beacon Saturday morning endured the muggy conditions.

Around 6,500 people participated in the race.

New Zealand native Jake Robertson was the first place male finisher and 20-year-old Sandrafelis Chebet Tuei from Kenya was the first female to cross the finish line.

It was the 21st annual running of the event which began in 1998.
