A Kittery daycare where 7 children and 4 adults were hospitalized due to a carbon monoxide leak last week is closing its doors.

The lawyer for the Building Blocks Learning Center said Thursday the facility has made the decision to close after a carbon monoxide leak caused by a propane-powered saw that was being used at a business next door.

A report from the state fire marshal’s office says the daycare had no carbon monoxide detectors at the time of the incident.

All 11 people who were hospitalized were treated and released.
