Traffic stops lead to drug arrest in Portland

Police seized a rifle along with meth and crack cocaine during a traffic stop in Portland.

An officer spotted a knife during the traffic stop Monday morning at the corner of Spring Street and State Street, leading to a search of the vehicle.

The search revealed an AK-47 style rifle and ammunition, along with meth, crack cocaine and cocaine hydrochloride.

20-year-old James Anderson of Biddeford was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
