Kittery Police Say Hours Long Standoff Resolved

Kittery Police say their hours-long standoff on Pepperrell Road has been resolved peacefully. Officers say more details will be released.

Kittery police were on the scene of a standoff Thursday afternoon and evening, which lasted for hours.

Officers asked the public to avoid the area of 161 Pepperell Road, which is in Kittery Point.

A stretch of Pepperell Road between the intersections with Haley Road and Chauncy Creek Road was closed Thursday afternoon but was reopened by Thursday evening.
