Levant man charged with assault and burglary

Police in Bangor say a Levant man faces felony charges after allegedly breaking into a man’s home and assaulting him.

Police said they responded to a home on West Broadway on Wednesday morning after the homeowner told them that a man, later identified as 34-year-old Lance Bradford, had entered his house and assaulted him. He said he doesn’t know Bradford.

Police say Bradford left the home and was later spotted crawling out of a second story window in another building. He then attempted to leap to the roof of the building next door but fell between the buildings.

He was taken into custody and is being held at Penobscot County Jail.
