Lewiston man identified as victim in deadly turnpike crash

Police have identified the man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Maine Turnpike in Lewiston Monday night.

Police say 31-year-old Joshua Lussier of Lewiston was driving at a high rate of speed when his car struck a guardrail.

It happened just before 9 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Old Lewiston Road overpass.

Police say he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
