Lewiston man killed in accident involving scooter

A Lewiston man died after he collided with two SUVs while riding a scooter.

According to CBS 13 news, police said 44-year-old David Glenn was riding a scooter on Walnut Street around 5 p.m. Tuesday when he collided with a Jeep and a Toyota Highlander.

He died after being brought to Central Maine Medical Center.

No one else was injured.

Police said Glenn was operating the scooter recklessly in the moments before the crash, passing through a 4-way intersection without stopping.

The crash is still being investigated. Police say Glenn was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors.
