Lewiston Man Shot, Dies of Injuries

LEWISTON (WGME) — A Saturday Night shooting on River Street in Lewiston claimed the life of an 18 year old man.

The shooting occurred at 7:35 p.m., and the victim was transported to Central Maine Medical Center. The Maine State Police and Major Crimes Unit were called in to the investigate due to the severity of the man’s injuries. Police say the man died at the hospital from his injuries early Sunday morning.

The victim has not yet been identified pending notification to his family. Maine State Police are leading the investigation with assistance from the Lewiston Police Department
