Lewiston police arrest five men in prostitution bust

LEWISTON, Maine (WGAN) Lewiston police made five arrests in a prostitution bust on Monday.

Police say the following five men were arrested Monday as part of an undercover operation by police:

Haji Haji, age 60, of Lewiston, Maine
Laurier Ducharme, age 59, of Auburn, Maine
Craig Melanson, age 60, of Lewiston, Maine
West Saidi, age 34 of Lewiston, Maine
Rickey Joler, age 62, of Augusta, Maine

The department says the operation was part of an ongoing effort to target sex related offenses and sex trafficking. The men were all charged with engaging a prostitute, which is a misdemeanor.
