CBS 13 reports that the Lewiston school district has offered it’s student body options for this upcoming fall semester.

Returning students will be allowed to choose from either returning to campus or continue coursework through an online setting.

Students planning on attending campus in the fall will be learning under the Maine Department of Education’s health guidelines in order to protect attending students. This means enhanced cleaning and hygiene, social distancing, and the option of wearing a mask.

Superintendent Todd Finn, has noted that a third option, in the form of combined in-school and remote attendance is also being considered.

Come August, families can decide for themselves what they feel is best for their student and can alter their decision at anytime. More about the school district’s plan is to be expected next month.
