A 57-year-old man faces attempted murder charges after police say he shot at a resident in Limerick Saturday afternoon at about 3:15 pm.

Maine State Police say Steven Henry of Limerick did a burnout in a pickup truck on Prokey Drive and shot at a resident who came outside in an altercation.

Officers say they tracked down Henry on Shaving Hill Road in Limington a short time later.

Police say he and a passenger were outside the truck, a maroon Nissan Titan, when officers arrived. They say the two attempted to flee in the truck, but were cornered in the immediate area with the help of a Maine Game Warden.

Officers say the firearm believed to have been used in the incident—a handgun—was recovered by a Maine State Police K9 approximately 40 yards from where the vehicle was found.
They say further investigation revealed that the passenger had not been present at the time of the shooting.
The passenger does not have any charges at this time .
Henry was taken into custody without incident and ttaken to the York County Jail. He has been charged with Attempted Murder, Reckless Conduct with a Firearm and Discharge of a Firearm near a Dwelling.
