The four candidates running in Portland’s mayoral race appeared in WGAN’s South Portland studios for a debate Tuesday morning.
The election includes Travis Curran, whose been in the restaurant industry for a decade or so, former board of education chair Kate Snyder and city councilor Spencer Thibodeau.
The three are trying to unseat incumbent Ethan Strimling, who as served as Portland’s mayor since defeating Michael Brennan in the Nov. 2015 election.
The candidates discussed a variety of issues, including the city’s housing crisis and the influx of asylum seekers to Portland.
