UPDATE: Litchfield man captured following manhunt

LITCHFIELD, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say a wanted Litchfield man is now in police custody.

Police had been searching for 36-year-old Joshua Tilley after he abducted his girlfriend Tuesday.

Police say Tilley had fled his mother’s home on Dead River Road around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police say Tilley was arrested Wednesday morning near the home, with help from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office and their police dog.

Tilley has been charged with kidnapping and domestic violence assault.

He was taken to Kennebec County Jail.
