LL Bean flagship store in Freeport resumes 24-hour sales

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) L.L. Bean’s flagship store in Freeport has resumed to 24-hour operations.

The flagship store and the Hunt & Fish store returned to 24-hour operations Monday.

It marks an important milestone for the company during the pandemic, restoring a tradition that dates to 1951, said Shawn Gorman, company chairman.

The company is also expanding hours at its Home and Bike and Boat & Ski stores, which also are located in Freeport. Hours of operation for those stores will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
