Many local businesses that are still operating amid the coronavirus crisis are stepping up to help those who are on the frontlines of the pandemic.

Town and Country Federal Credit Union on Friday announced they’re providing funding for 100 meals to healthcare workers in the COVID-19 units at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Sue Doliner, Vice President of Philanthropy, said sandwiches were given to frontline caregivers treating those hospitalized with COVID-19. It’s all part of the credit union’s “Local Helping Local” initiative, the company said.

Rosemont Bakery is also allowing customers ordering food to donate money to go towards lunch for healthcare workers.

Aroma Joe’s is serving free cups of coffee to healthcare workers.
