A van crashed into a home in Madawaska Saturday night, killing David Morin, 71, who was sitting in his living room when the van struck. The driver, Shawn Cote, 47, of Madawaska, also died at the scene of the crash.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Cote had been driving south on 19th Avenue when he missed a turn at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Belleview Avenue.

Police say the crash is still under investigation, but speed appears to be a factor.
