Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey has filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent a contractor from doing work in Maine amid allegations of defective work.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the civil lawsuit filed Friday accuses Jake Brown of doing shoddy work on at least 14 occasions since 2022 and not completing work in at least 20 instances during that time period.

Brown is an excavation contractor based out of Palermo.

He was released on bail after being arrested on felony charges in October for writing a bad check.
