The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention says they have begun an investigation into an outbreak of coronavirus in Houlton.

The outbreak has affected 7 people in the medical field as of Saturday, including 4 Houlton ambulance workers and 2 others who were in close contact. All have confirmed to have tested positive for covid-19.

The individuals are isolating, according to the Maine CDC.

Another individual who didn’t exhibit any symptoms of the virus, tested positive at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center last week.

This is the first known outbreak in Aroostook county.
