Public health officials announced 823 new cases of the virus.

The Maine CDC has recorded 32,781 cases of the virus since the pandemic began.

Of those cases, 26,923 are confirmed positives, while 5,858 are classified as probable cases.

The state’s seven-day average for new cases is 627.1, up from 539.9 one week ago and up from 403.7 a month ago.

Public health officials say 1,228 Mainers have been hospitalized at some point.
