Maine’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported another 433 cases of coronavirus and two deaths on Wednesday.

That marks the highest single day total of new cases in four months. It also comes as the Maine CDC processes a backlog of positive tests to determine how many are new cases.

Hospitalizations have also reached their highest point since February. Maine CDC Director Dr. Nirav Shah said 150 people in the state are hospitalized with COVID-19.

On the vaccination front, he also says vaccination rates in Maine are up more than 30% over the past two weeks.
