41 entertainment businesses in Maine were granted over $22 million to help save the entertainment industry from pandemic closures.

The U.S. Small Business Administration received over 15,000 applications and have been deciding where to allocate the $16 billion from their Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program.

According to the Portland Press Herald, businesses can use the money wherever they see fit such as helping pay off rent, taxes, insurance, etc.

The grants have helped businesses stay afloat and transition back to normal going into the summer season.
