The Maine Center for Disease Control on Saturday reported 24 new cases of coronavirus.
That puts the total number of known cases in this state at 456.
Robert Long, a spokesman for the Maine CDC, reported the state’s 10th coronavirus death, saying a man in his 70s from York County has died from COVID-19.
Eighty-three patients have been hospitalized since the outbreak in Maine began. Heath officials also say 140 individuals in Maine have recovered from the coronavirus.

The Maine CDC on Saturday reported 231 cases in Cumberland County, by far the most in the state. There were 95 cases in York County, second most. The virus has spread to all but one of Maine’s counties, Piscataquis County.
