Maine man accused of firing shots in Westbrook charged


Police say a man who fired gunshots into the air in Westbrook last week has been taken into custody.

Police say the shots were fired around 11:30 p.m. Friday. The suspect, 33-year-old Jason Havanki of Westbrook, was arrested without incident on Tuesday.

A search of his home led to the discovery of the gun that was used in the shooting.

Havanki is charged with aggravated reckless conduct and violating conditions of release. He was arraigned on Wednesday.
