STETSON, Maine (WGAN) A Maine man is arrested in connection with the 1986 murder and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl from Connecticut.
Maine State Police arrested 53-year-old Marc Karun of Stetson on Wednesday. He’s accused of murdering and sexually assaulting Kathleen Flynn on September 23rd of 1986 and was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant as he left his home on Wednesday.
Police in Norwalk, Connecticut have been investigating ever since Flynn went missing on her walk home from school that day. Her body was found 100 feet from the path she was walking on.
Karun is being held at Penobscot County Jail until the terms of his extradition are determined.
