Maine Man Faces 9 Charges in Drug Trafficking Bust

A 37-year-old man faces drug trafficking charges after police say an ongoing investigation turned up large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, meth, and more inside a home in Hiram.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says authorities searched a home at 931 Tripptown Road in Hiram on Tuesday, where they found 143.6 grams of cocaine, 33.1 grams of fentanyl, 2.5 grams of methamphetamine, 59 doses of suboxone and 10 Oxycodone pills.

Deputies say they also seized manufacturing apparatus for crack cocaine and methamphetamine along with seven firearms and a stolen chainsaw.

Mark O’Brien of Hiram was arrested and now faces two counts of Aggravated Trafficking Scheduled Drugs, two counts of furnishing schedule drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, theft by receiving stolen property, and possession of firearms by a prohibited person.

O’Brien was taken to the Oxford County Jail where he is being held on $50,000 bail.
