Maine man indicted on charges he assaulted baby

A Winthrop man has been indicted after he allegedly shook and injured his 4-month-old baby.

The Portland Press Herald reports that 22-year-old Camren Breton has been indicted on two counts of aggravated assault.

Officials say the crime will leave the baby severely brain damaged and at least partially blinded.

The Class A aggravated assault charge is punishable by up to 30 years behind bars.
