PORTLAND, Maine (AP)   A Maine man who recently uncovered a trove of World War II-era photos says he’s hoping to find people who can tell him about his father’s past in the military.

Portland resident Dana Perkins discovered hundreds of photographs taken during his father’s time as a radio operator at Pearl Harbor and is looking to identify the people in the photos. WGME-TV reports Perkins found hundreds of photo negatives while cleaning out his parents’ closet.

Perkins says his father Richard didn’t often speak to them about his time in the military, and he’s hoping to learn the identities of the people Richard Perkins photographed in Hawaii.
