Maine Warden Service

MADAWASKA, Maine (WGAN) A snowmobile accident has left a Maine man in critical condition.

The Maine Warden Service is investigating a single snowmobile crash that happened around 11:00PM Wednesday. 57-year-old Luke Beaulieu of Saint David was riding his snowmobile off Gagnon Road in Madawaska when he struck a tree. He was thrown from his snowmobile and was seriously injured.

Beaulieu was brought to the Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent, then to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where he remains in critical condition.

Game wardens say speed and alcohol were likely factors in the crash.
