Maine playground targeted by vandal reopens

A playground in the town of Paris has been fixed up and reopened after a vandal removed bolts and screws from the equipment.

In a post on Facebook, the Paris Parks & Recreation Committee said Thursday the equipment at Moore Park was fixed and tightened.

The playground was closed for about two weeks, with town officials saying they would need to wait for the parts to arrive from the manufacturer.

In the post, officials thanked individuals and businesses in the community who stepped up to help reopen the park to the public.

The park will be locked from dusk to 8 a.m.
