Maine police find two New Hampshire fugitives hiding in closets


LEBANON, Maine (WGAN) Police arrested two fugitives from New Hampshire who were found hiding in closets inside of a Lebanon home.

Maine State Police say they searched a home on Jim Grant Road in Lebanon around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. They were looking for 32-year-old Samantha Smith of Rochester, New Hampshire, who was wanted for probation revocation for a drug conviction. They found her hiding in a bedroom closet.

Police also found a man, 36-year-old Ryan Barbin, also of Rochester, hiding in another closet. He had a warrant out for his arrest for violation of bail and theft.

Both were taken to York County Jail and will be extradited back to New Hampshire.
