(WGAN) The Maine CDC has reported another 375 coronavirus cases across the state. The new infections are from a three-day period, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

As the COVID-19 Delta variant spreads in Maine, the state’s seven-day daily average of new cases has grown to 177, up from 39 a month ago.

Public health officials also reported three additional deaths Tuesday, raising the death toll to 907.

As of late Tuesday morning, cdc.gov was reporting that 15 of Maine’s 16 counties are experiencing high or substantial levels of covid-19.

Kennebec County had moderate transmission, the website said.

Somerset, Piscataquis, Penobscot, Waldo and Knox counties had high levels of transmission.

It’s recommended by the U.S. CDC that people in areas with high or substantial levels of COVID-19 transmission wear masks in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.
