Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has delayed a decision about whether to keep former President Donald Trump off Maine’s presidential primary ballot.

It comes after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the former President Trump was ineligible for the White House under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause.

The former President has been removed from Colorado’s presidential primary ballot.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Bellows says the delay will allow more time for people on both sides of the issue to file additional arguments in light of the Colorado ruling.

Bellows had been expected to rule on three challenges to Trump’s appearance on the ballot by Friday, but she now says she now plans to issue a decision early next week.
