A woman from Waldo County has been charged with endangering the welfare of a dependent person.

Back in March, Bangor police responded to Hollywood Casino for a report of a confused, non-verbal adult female in the lobby.

She was transported to a local hospital, and initially, police were only able to determine the woman’s first name.

Hotel security checked surveillance footage and determined that the woman entered the casino through the parking garage.

Police eventually determined which vehicle she exited in the garage.

The department says the vehicle was registered to a residential home in another part of the state.

Eventually, contact was made with caretaker who had driven the vehicle to the casino.

As a result of the investigation, 60-year-old Tammy Knowlton of Troy was summoned on that charge of endangering the welfare of a dependent person, a Class C felony.
