Maine woman charged with setting fire at Auburn pharmacy

AUBURN, Maine (WGAN) Police in Auburn have arrested a woman accused of setting fire to a Walgreens Pharmacy.

Auburn Police Chief Jason Moen said firefighters responded to the fire Tuesday at 6:11 a.m. at the Walgreens on Union St.

32-year-old Sarah Huntington of Sabattus was charged with arson and aggravated criminal mischief in connection with the blaze. She’s being held on $25,000 cash bail at Androscoggin County Jail.

Officials said the fire started outside but spread to the building. Before it was extinguished, it caused structural damage and significant smoke damage. A damage estimate wasn’t available Tuesday afternoon.
