Maine woman charged with stabbing pregnant woman in Parsonsfield


PARSONSFIELD, Maine (WGAN)  The York County Sheriff’s Office says a Porter woman is facing charges after stabbing a pregnant woman in Parsonsfield.

Police say two couples were involved in an argument on social media and agreed to meet up in person.  They met each other at the old Box Shop on Sokokis Road, according to police.

Police say that’s when the argument turned physical with the two men fighting.  Police say the victim’s husband had the upper hand in the fight when 18-year-old Danielle Emery stepped in a kicked the victim’s husband.

Police say the victim then stepped in and Emery produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.  The victim, according to police, is 20 weeks pregnant and was taken to Bridgton Hospital.  She was then flown to Central Maine Medical Center.  Police say they did not have an update on the victim’s condition.

Emery was charged with elevated aggravated assault and is being held at York County Jail on $50,000 bail.
