Mainer charged with killing grandmother, significant other

An Oxford County woman is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of her grandmother and significant other.

The sheriff’s office says the bodies were found after deputies responded to a request for a welfare check at a home on Fuller Ln. in Denmark.

According to CBS 13, Tzara Jones, 53, of Denmark was acting as a caretaker for the two individuals and is now charged in connection with the deaths.

According to the Office of the Maine Attorney General, the victims were identified a Jones’ grandmother, Aremean Mayo, and Michael Willett.

Jones is being held at the Oxford County Jail.

She will be arraigned on Tuesday in Oxford District Court.
