Mainers Must Now Be 21 to Buy Tobacco Products

The legal age to buy tobacco products in Maine has been officially raised to 21.

The law went into effect Sunday and applies to electronic cigarettes as well. Those who already turned 18 may continue buying tobacco products.

According to our info partners at channel 8 WMTW, Maine became the fourth state in the U.S. to raise the tobacco age.
